13	0637	C Co reports their 81mm had a short round land 25 meters from the tube. Request EOD team.
22	0729	Bunker 20 reports approx 15 Vietnamese working in front of bunkers 16, 17, 18.
23	0800	B Co reports finding a bunker and trench line at XT692200. No further action during the day.

5	0255	4/9 fwd TOC rec'd radio transmission using call sign PATROL HAWK. There is no ambush patrol out by that call sign. Informed RRU to check it out.
11	0631	Col Conaty and Maj Hamilton departed to observe 2/14 (Bravo) opns vic XT689215.
13	0640	2/14 requested EOD team, one 81mm round landed about 25 meters in front of gun position in C/2/14 Co area.
21	0815	B/2/14 reports finding 2 bunkers and trench line vic XT690206.
23	0840	B/4/9 first lift on ground LZ vic XS664897. Receiving fire, 1 crewman wounded.
24	0855	Bde Army Aviator observed wrecked 2 1/2 ton truck at vic XT590093. Unit unk, casualties unk.
42	1510	Forwarded dustoff request for 4/9 Inf, 1 US WIA from SA fire vic XS650895.
45	1605	B/4/9 rec'd sniper fire vic XS651901.
51	1859	Delayed Entry 1159 hrs: B/4/9 destroyed 3 bunkers, captures 1 SMG.
53	1905	Delayed Entry 1115 hrs: B/4/9 destroyed 1 large bunker, captured 200 lbs rice and some clothes.
55	1907	Delayed Entry 1032: B/4/9 destroyed 4 bunkers and 6 foxholes at XS690908.
65	2400	SUMMARY: Opns ALA MOANA and MAKALAPA and security opns vic Cu Chi base continued. ASCC's continued at Cu Chi and Vinh Loc. The 4/9 Inf conducted ROADRUNNER opn between Cu Chi and saturation patrolling vic Co bases, and a Co airmobile assault followed by S&D vic XS6590. The 2/14 Inf conducted security opns vic the Cu Chi base and an airmobile assault and S&D vic XT6820. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf Bn will conduct saturation patrolling and platoon S&D opns vic Co bases. 2/14 Inf Bn will conduct security opns vic the Cu Chi base. 4/23 Inf will continue as Div reserve.
