2	0025	S3 informed B Co that artillery will be firing 800 meters SW of their 26 element at a suspected VC location, XT670170.
		Initial log entries contain hourly sit/rep, no change.
22	1050	Recon is in process of using water buffalo to take cable out to downed vehicle.
34	1805	Recon reports that there is 100 meters of cable still to be laid and they will have to leave for Trang Bang in about 45 min.

11	0855	2/14 MEDCAP departed base camp for Vinh Cu.
23	1320	1st Bde Aviator observed sampans and 40-50 individuals vic XT7414-7420, also observed 30 individuals XT718210.
25	1349	WO Simpson reported 3 sampans in bushes vic XT660275, one individual running same location. Also 3 destroyed sampans at same location.
29	1445	B/4/9 picked up 5 male detainees vic XS625913, C/4/9 picked up 2 male detainees vic 622917.
31	1730	C/4/9 picked up 8 detainees vic XS723195.
43	2201	B/4/9 picked up 13 VN detainees XS723195. All were released as civilians.
44	2205	US SA 55 RF Bn observed 6 jet flames shooting 50 meters into air, each lasting approx 1-3 seconds at XS6889. These explosions seem to be rockets.
49	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continues opns ALA MOANA and MAKALAPA. 4/9 Inf conducted a company size airmobile opn vic XS7291. 2/14 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and conducted a company size S&D mission vic XT6217. 4/23 remained Div reserve. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf continued opn from separate company bases. C/4/9 will conduct an airmobile opn vic XS6691. 2/14 Inf continues base security and conducts company size airmobile and BUDDY S&D opns vic XT693132.
