3	0109	A/4/9 patrol MATTHEW vic XT675179, wire of claymore moved, Patrol Leader threw one hand grenade in suspected area. Movement observed vic XT628175, requested Arty illumination. Nothing spotted. Changed ambush site.
16	0915	2/27 observed 4 persons vic XT620189, requested to fire Arty.
17	0920	Sub Sector Advisor for Phu Hoa Duong reports element rec'd fire from estimated one VC platoon vic XT713205. VC and SA and 2 BAR's. VC broke contact at 0845. No casualties.
20	1040	2/27 observed 4 persons vic XT604189, requested Arty. Results unk.
32	1353	S3 4/23 reported 10 VC moving west vic XT655200. Calling Arty.
33	1515	A/4/9 has apprehended 2 detainees vic XT613108. Report will follow, evac to Div POW camp.
38	1730	A/4/9 destroyed 2 tunnels vic XT615108 and one structure XT616108.
53	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and remained control HQs for Cu Chi base defense. 4/9 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and conducted a company size airmobile S&D mission vic XT618105. 4/23 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and conducted a Bn (-) S&D mission in the FILHOL Plantation. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf will conduct a company size S&D opn vic XT615170. 4/23 Inf (-) continues S&D opn vic FILHOL Plantation.
