3	0050	A/4/9 patrol LIVER saw lights loc vic XT683194, called Arty for air burst.
21	1210	2/17 tower observed approx 12 VC with weapons vic XT615180, called Arty.
40	2250	HQ fwd 4/23 received sniper fire from AW weapons from vic XT587158. Called for illumination. No US casualties. Results unk.
44	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and remained control HQ for Cu Chi base defense. 4/9 Inf continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp. 4/23 Inf continued a Bn size S&D opn vic XT5517. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf will continue security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and conduct a S&D opn in AO. 4/23 Inf will conclude opn vic ST563203 and commence opns in FILHOL Plantation.
