3	0055	Ref Item 43 3 Mar:  Patrol still has 10 VC in sight, calling Arty, XT661196.
11	0830	Delayed Entry 0657 hrs:  C/4/9 patrol KNEE BENDER observed 2 VC with weapons vic XT664186 moving south.  VC disappeared without contact.
12	0840	3/4 Cav gunship reports a crater in the road vic XT549174.  Crater is 3 ft x 4 ft and 3 ft deep.  Engineers are moving out to repair.
14	0928	1st Bde FAC observed five rectangles 3 meters wide, 6 meters long, 3 meters deep XT638276.  Three rectangles have concrete posts sticking out, digging recent, probably graves.
15	1025	3/4 Cav gunship landed vic XT673140 and found one hand grenade and one uniform in a hole.  Continuing mission.
16	1055	FAC putting in a strike vic XT668242.
19	1123	Ref Item 16:  Air strike vic XT668242 completed.  Results:  1 VC KIA (BC), 2 VC KIA (Poss), 1 sampan loaded with supplies, weapons and ammo destroyed, and 1 secondary explosion.
26	1530	B/4/23 contact with 1 VC vic XT665105.  1 ARVN KIA, 1 civilian WIA.  1 squad sweeping area.  Called for dustoff of civilian.
30	1730	3/4 Cav reports that 30 VC were seen in jungle uniforms, modern weapons, well organized, terrorized village of Bac Ha XT644134, 1 civilian KIA.
37	1935	C/4/9 had a 81mm dud land 40 meters from C Co.  EOD called.
48	2400	SUMMARY:  1st Bde continued opn ALA MOANA and control of Cu Chi base defense.  4/9 Inf conducted security opn vic Cu Chi base camp and concluded a S&D opn vic XT6918 at 041000 Mar.  4/23 Inf conducted security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and continued security mission on Route 1 from Cu Chi to Hoc Mon bridge. PLANS SUMMARY:  4/9 Inf will continue security opns vic Cu Chi base camp.  4/23 Inf will continue security opn vic Cu Chi base camp and conduct a company size S&D mission vic XT6418.
