B Co reports receiving a few sniper rounds from his right flank from A sector. One man observed moving toward rubber plantation, is sending a squad to the road to check it out.
18 1016 B Co searching area of sniper fire, found two bicycles near a foxhole, camouflaged vic XT501487. They will continue searching. 19 1035 B Co has several detainees down by the bunker line, requested an interpreter be sent to his location. 21 1120 From B Co to 33: 8 detainees are being brought back to compound. They had no ID cards with them. 22 1145 B Co reports the sniper that he received at 0930 hrs came from XT 544489. 1 individual fired 4 rounds, then withdrew back to rubber plantation and boarded a road roller, they pursued, but VC were gone before they reached location. 23 1203 A Co finished test firing weapons in Laterite pit. 39 2105 A Co reported sighting one VC (Poss) in front of bunker 2. Possible VC was engaged with M-79 rounds. Checked area, results unknown.

B/4/9 patrol received 2 WIA's at XT616142, requested dustoff for 2 litter; one wounded in shoulder, one in leg.

Recon platoon 4/9 plus 4 tracks from 3/4 Cav were dispatched to picj up the B/4/9 patrol with 2 WIA's to get them out where the dustoff ship can pick them up.
8 0438 4/9 Reaction Force has made contact with patrol. 9 0458 B/4/9 dustoff completed and Reaction Force returning to B/C with patrol. 11 0540 B/4/9 Reaction Force closed B/C. 15 0820 G-3 informed this HQs that gunships will be working in the Boi Loi Woods area during period 250800-251600. 16 0828 1/27 tower reported 1 round SA fire from vic XT 630163, round was ineffective, no casualties. 17 0835 4/9 tower spotted approx 30 Vietnamese men and women carrying rice straw bundles. 4/9 is sending security force to check it out. Mission cancelled because Vietnamese had already entered village. 19 0945 2/27 tower spotted one individual vic XT625169. He appeared to have a weapon, B/4/9 is checking area. 21 0951 Delayed Entry 0800 hrs: C/4/9 patrol CLARABELL destroyed 3 bunkers vic XT681173. 23 1030 2/27 tower spotted one individual digging vic XT615176. Checking. 24 1055 A/4/9 platoon entered a village vic XT702188 at 1030 hrs. Informants stated that approx 70 VC were in village between 242000-250400. 25 1148 A/4/9 platoon located a tunnel vic XT696198. Which checking tunnel one suspect entered area. He was taken under fire with M-60 MG. Suspect was detained and will be evacuated. 26 1338 A/4/9 1st platoon completed blowing tunnel and are continuing mission. 29 1510 D Troop 3/4 Cav (Air) gunships received fire from 1 VC platoon vic XT509592. SA and AW. Returned fire with gunships, 3 VC KIA (BC), 1 VC KIA (Poss). No friendly casualties. 31 1725 A/3/4 Cav convoy, battery fell off truck. Another truck ran over battery causing battery to explode in man's face. Battery acid in face. Dustoff called. 38 2005 2/27 sighted 2 VC vic XT617178, VC taken under fire with 50 Cal, neg results. 40 2140 A/3/4 closed B/C at 2000 hrs. 2 VC KIA (Poss), 4 VC KIA (BC), 2 detainees, 1 radio. 42 2235 C/4/9 picked up 2 women at the Laterite pit, inside the wire. 44 2312 B/4/9 observed 3 VC vic XT655195. Engaged with SA and called for Arty. 47 2400 SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued security opns with one Bn (-) (4/9) vic Cu Chi base camp while A/4/9 maintained fwd base vic XT700189. 1st Bde headquarters remains in control of Cu Chi base defense.
PLANS SUMMARY: 4/9 Inf continues security opns and maintains forward company base.
