2	0005	2/7 ARVN Advisor reported ARVN outpost loc vic XT712177, 5 VC under fire, running south across road. Results unk.
3	0045	Received call from Maj Brown 3/4 Cav stating an ARVN truck had been ambushed vic XT663106 and a firefight was going on. Requested one alert platoon from 3/4 Cav - granted. 3/4 Cav reached 4/9 ARVN Regt HQ to pick up an ARVN platoon and move to Vic XT663106 to force VC to break contact. 2231 broke contact. Dustoff was called for ARVN Advisor. 3 WIA ARVN.
6	0215	S1 4/9 called at 0200 hrs, 2 men from B/4/9 got into a fight. Both were cut, 1 went to 12th Field Hospital, 1 to 25th Med Bn. MP's and CID called. 1st Bde XO was called at 0220 hrs.
12	0815	A/4/9 shot at one VC loc XT 701207. Results unk.
13	0828	EOD will detonate explosives at 1030 hrs vic Ann Margaret.
19	1550	Brush fire broke out between bunker 17 and 20 in the 588th area. Fire truck was dispatched, and fire under control.
20	1600	A/4/9 element in a firefight, 1 US WIA shot in leg vic XT695174. Broke contact with enemy and WIA is being evacuated by chopper.
21	1630	A Co 65th Engr tank was hit by RPG-2 rocket vic XT700188. 6 US WIA, 3 serious. Request two dustoff ships.
22	1710	Ref Item 21: Dustoff completed 231703. Received SA fire at take off. No casualties.
31	2115	A/4/9 patrol made contact at 2113 hrs vic XT709195. Patrol received 5 rifle grenades, called 81mm mortar fire. 1 VC KIA (Poss).
35	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued security opns vic Cu Chi base camp. A/4/9 Inf continued maint of fwd company base vic XT700198. PLANS SUMMARY: 1st Bde will continue control of Cu Chi base defense. 4/9 Inf continues security opns vic Cu Chi base camp and maintains fwd company base vic XT700189.
