8	0727	From C Co to 33: The dusters left FFL at 0727 on today's road clearing operation.
20	0945	From Recon Plat to 33: Closed Rach Kien base camp with convoy from Cu Chi at 0945 hrs.
26	1155	C Co Patrol 1 received approx 7 rds SA sniper fire from vic XS757694. No friendly casualties. Cannon 50Y reports area being a group of houses with people in the front drying their rice.
30	1423	Recon platoon reports that a child's foot has been run over by one of the vehicles in the convoy. The child will be brought to Rach Kien if it is necessary.
33	1453	Convoy from Rach Kien to Cu Chi closed Cu Chi base camp 1453 hrs.
37	1705	C Co Patrol 3 reports having 2 men wounded from a booby-trap at vic XS733699.
38	1745	C Co Patrol 3 closed base camp at 1745 hrs along with 2 WIAs, personnel were from Co A/3/39 Inf, dustoff is required.

		On this day the 2/14th Inf Bn was the only battalion attached to 1st Brigade. Since most of the 2/14 S-3 log entries above were also reported to Brigade HQ, they were duplicated in the 1st Bde S2/S3 log, but they will not be repeated here. I've included only entries that contain unique or unusual information
11	0930	B/2/14 assumed base reaction force effective 131200 hrs Feb 67.
12	0945	Platoon of 2/14 attached to 2nd Bde released to 2/14 control 0920 hrs.
15	1110	2/14 requested permission to fire mortars vic 685165 at 1300 hrs today to set base plates. Cleared with 2nd Bde, G-3 informed, 65th Engr notified.
16	1130	The wounded Chieu Hoi that turned himself in to 2/14 at Rach Kien on 11 Feb was LF guerrilla from village of Ap Phouc Hung (XS721697) stated that VC village Chief hid weapons before TET. The Chieu Hoi was evac to Tan An.
17	1145	4/9 requested permission to fire SA for zeroing and testing in front of B/4/9 bunker line. Approved.
34	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opns LANIKAI with security opns in the Rach Kien area and base camp security vic Cu Chi base camp. 4/9 Inf remains OPCON of 196th Bde. 4/23 Inf remains OPCON of 3rd Bde, 4th Inf Div. PLANS SUMMARY: 2/14 will continue security opns in Rach Kien area and Cu Chi base area. Opn LANIKAI will terminate 13 Feb 67. Other unit OPCON will continue.
