14	0820	Engr and 1 squad from C Co 3rd platoon departed base camp at 0820 hrs to secure the road north of Rach Kien, also 2 Dusters (twin 40's) left for the Road Junction at 0820 hours.
26	1105	Brigadier General Bolton from the 25th Inf Div arrived at 2/14 Inf base camp Rach Kien at approx 0945 hrs and departed at 1045 hrs.
32	1525	From S3 to B Co: B Co will take over all LP's for tonight, C Co will have all bunker line defense.
35	1620	From Recon to S3: Convoy from Cu Chi to Rach Kien closed base camp at 1620.
44	1800	From 1/46th ARVN to B Co: Elements of 1/46 relieved Co B on the OP constructed by B Co vic XS725725 at approx 1800 hrs.

		On this day the 2/14th Inf Bn was the only battalion attached to 1st Brigade. Since most of the 2/14 S-3 log entries above were also reported to Brigade HQ, they were duplicated in the 1st Bde S2/S3 log, but they will not be repeated here. I've included only entries that contain unique or unusual information
22	1653	Msg from G-3: Bao Tri informs that there will be no curfew from now to 120800 Feb 67, in Hau Nghia Province.
23	1705	65th Engr assumed control of Laterite pit effective 101700 Feb 67.
34	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued opn LANIKAI (2/14 Inf). ASCC's continue at Tan An and Rach Kien. B/2/14 Inf continuing opns from a separate company base vic XS725725 and C/2/14 conducting Bn base security opns at Rach Kien. PLANS SUMMARY: 2/14 Inf will conduct security opns in observance of TET.
