2	0030	Ref Log 40 27-Nov: HHC/4/9 went out to check area at XT676157. Neg. results. On way back to base camp.
10	0304	B/2/14 patrol that departed base camp at 0210 for ambush site at XT677168, Scout Dog got away from handler. Bunker line notified. 0322: Dog returned to patrol., patrol continued on to ambush position, 0340 hrs.
32	1130	2/14 conducted MEDCAP opn in Vinh Cu (XT670145) started 0900, finished 1120, treated 125 persons.
36	1312	C/4/23 sustained two casualties, XS597762, as result of booby-traps. 1 litter, 1 ambulatory. Will be evacuated by 4/23 C&C ship to 93rd Evac.
50	1945	C/4/9 patrol observed 3 VC with weapons vic XT674157, VC were engaged with SA fire and hand grenades, VC withdrew into bushes at that location and the patrol pursued. Additional men are being sent to area to assist.
52	2028	C/4/9 patrol LATCH is returning to B/C, will be reorganized and depart for new ambush site.
53	2035	C/4/23 rec'd AW and SA fire from estimated VC fire team form vic XS597767. Unit returned fire with SA and 60mm mortars. Results unk, no casualties.
66	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opn LANIKAI with C/4/23 conducting BUSHMASTER BUDDY Opn vic XS599767. Overnight base was established at that location. B/4/9 Inf moved by convoy to Binh Chanh closing at 0830 hrs. 4/9 Inf (-) conducted local security and ambush patrols in the Cu Chi base camp area. 2/14 Inf conducted Base Security and ambush patrols in sector of Cu Chi base camp area. PLANS SUMMARY: 4/23 Inf will continue Opn LANIKAI with BUSHMASTER BUDDY Opn vic XS599577. 4/9 Inf conducts local security and ambush opn in Cu Chi base area and Binh Chanh base area. Construction continues on Bn base in Gia Dinh Province. C/2/14 Inf conducts S&D Opn in FILHOL Plantation, vic XT675184 with stay-behind ambush vic XT678175. 2/14 Inf (-) conducts local security, ambush patrols and will continue to furnish Division base reaction force.
