21	0832	4/23 reports (4) ARVN outposts hit by harassing fire from platoon-size elements at 0200 with 81mm and 60mm mortar and SA fire. Loc Ahau-Traum XS784665, Tan Lan XS768637, Tan Noi XS767607, Arty psn XS786568 resulting in (4) civilian casualties.
26	0925	Delayed Entry 0900: C/4/23 hit booby trap at XT612168 sustained (4) WIA, (2) litter and (2) walking, dustoff requested. No enemy contact.
43	1725	1st Bde aerial observer adjusted arty on 3 VC vic XT744192. 3 VC KIA (Poss), also fired on 2 VC and sampan vic 744194. 1 VC KIA (BC), 1 VC KIA (Poss). Sampan damaged, extent of damage unk.
47	1855	C/4/9 patrol COLOR CODE had 1 man with sprained back. Will take man to 2/27 front lines and then continue patrol.
54	2015	4/23 fwd reported msg from Capt Hagman said: Duc Hoa G-2 reported 1,000 VC loc vic XS597790 with intention to attack Ben Luc.
62	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opn LANIKAI with MEDCAP Opn at XS699758. 4/9 Inf conducted local security (at Cu Chi) and C/4/23 conducted patrols and S&D Opn in the Xom Moi area (XT6117), closing Cu Chi base at 1104 hrs. 2/14 Inf remains attached to 2nd Bde.
