20	0745	From Capt Mellie, Div G-3: 4/9 and 2/14 Recon platoons (complete) will be attached to 3/4 Cav effective 060745 Nov 66.
21	0845	2/14 Opn for 06 Nov cancelled by G3.
26	1035	Msg from G-3: 1 rifle company OPCON 2nd Bde to provide ambushes and ambush reaction force in 2nd Bde sector effective immediately. Provide reinforced platoon attached to 3/4 Cav, mission night operation along Highway 1 effective 061600 hrs for one night only. Mission given to 4/9. 4/9 notified.
28	1230	2/14 sending patrol to XT680173 from 1830-0600. Plan to follow.
30	1400	2/14 is test firing .50 cal at outpost Ann Margaret.
46	2208	Delayed Entry: B/4/9 patrol B-25 had one man with sprained ankle 100 meters from starting point. Individual was picked up and treated at hospital and released. Patrol 16 & 13 are 150 meters east of CP #1 and detouring around water which is up to arm pits.
52	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued Opn LANIKAI and KALIHI. 4/9 Inf continues to provide Base Reaction Co, on Co OPCON to to 2nd Bde and two platoons OPCON 3/4 Cav. 2/14 Inf designated as Div Reaction Force. 4/23 Inf in conjunction with 3/50 ARVN & PF Co will conduct search Opns vic BINH CHANH.
