13	0605	Msg from G3: Beginning at 0800 hrs this morning there will be a defoliation mission flown on Saigon River beginning 538369-756206 [Can anyone say Agent Orange?]
18	0815	3/4 Cav for 2/14 disapproved - 1 platoon on reaction force.
21	0910	A/2/14 extraction completed at 0905 hrs.
23	0940	A/2/14 started moving.
27	1025	3/4 Cav platoon has been approved for 2/14 at 1400 hrs.
29	1022	A/2/14 destroyed 1 AT mine at XT 692170.
37	1250	3/5 Cav hit mine at 741160. No casualties, extent of damage unk at this time.
38	1325	2/14 is conducting Starlite training tonight from 1930 to 2030 on Bunker Line.
40	1350	3/4 Cav departed Ann Margaret at 1320 hrs. Out on axis NEW MEXICO. Hold on PL CHICAGO until 2/14 is in LZ SEAGULL.
41	1355	2/14 first lift off at 1355.
44	1405	C/2/14 on LZ SEAGULL at 1400. Neg contact.
46	1415	Sabre element leaving PL CHICAGO to join C/2/14.
48	1420	C/2/14 last elem lift completed.
49	1430	C/2/14 moving to obj GROUSE on route MICHIGAN.
50	1445	Defoliation completed. Cease fire on bunker line has been lifted.
52	1515	C/2/14 lead element and 3/4 lead element linked at XT637195.
55	1600	All A/4/9 lifts on ground. 3/50 in position, apprehended 1 VCS WIA XT 583738.
56	1615	4/9 apprehended an additional 3 VCS.
57	1620	C/2/14 and 3/4 Cav element at 1545 hrs loc XT634197. Neg contact. A/2/14 at XT682180, neg contact.
58	1650	C/2/14 and 3/4 Cav element closed B/C XT633196.
60	1700	A/2/14 closed Ann Margaret, neg contact.
98	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continues Opns LANIKAI (4/9) & KALIHI (2/14 & 4/23). 4/9 conducted an S&D BUDDY Opn with elements of 3/50 ARVN resulting in capture of (1) VCS. 2/14 conducted S&D in FILHOL Plantation with negative results. Four CAS missions were flown in support of Opn KALIHI resulting in (2) sampans destroyed and (4) VC structures destroyed and one secondary fire.
