24	0750	C/4/9 at obj area RED, WHITE & BLUE. Picked up 9 detainees. Neg contact.
26	0755	1/7 ARVN received 3 rds SA fire at XT713180. Returned fire with SA, results unk.
29	0826	2/14 rpts 1/7 RVN 1 VC KIA, 2 VC captured XT722183.
33	0935	From G2: Chieu Hoi turned self in to Hamlet Chief at Tan Phu Trang - brought in P-38 pistol. He is a propaganda officer, gave loc of (2) VC Co's and (1) VC platoon at XT760155. He was at this loc 22 days ago to discuss VC activities for the coming year. Officer in charge is VC Lt. Col.
37	1030	1025 hrs 2nd plat C/4/9 had (2) litter WIA from booby-trapped hand grenade.
40	1050	1030 hrs 2/14 receiving A/W fire from (2) personnel vic coord XT704207. Returning fire, firing arty, will check further.
43	1145	1115 hrs C/2/14 recd sniper fire coord XT710208 from est 5 persons - returned fire with SA and Arty, further searching area.
46	1200	Plat from 3/4 Cav attached to 2/14 threw track on flame track. Units holding till fixed loc XT712208.
47	1222	1155 hrs C/2/14 located (5) structures XT 712208 destroyed.
54	1400	Viking 14C spotted 12 VC vic 602227. Called Arty. Results unk.
56	1514	3/4 Cav was hit by unknown type of round. 1 WIA.
58	1555	1530: C/2/14, snipers vic XT690165. Returned fire with neg results. 1 US WIA. 1545 hrs: C/2/14 recd sniper fire from approx 5 snipers vic coord XT690165. 1 sniper had AW. Returned fire w/M-79 & Arty. Results unk.
60	1618	2/14 resupply starting at 1600 hrs CP loc XT 690165.
63	1715	2/14 patrols: C - 690170, 2000-0600 Reinf Sqd. Entac - 692167, 2000-0600 Reinf Sqd. B - 685165, 2000-0600 Reinf Sqd.
68	1906	G3 reported that D troop 3/4 Cav spotted several campfires vic coord XT655175.
96	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde cont Opns LANIKAI (4/9) and KALIHI Opn (2/14 & 4/23). 4/9 conducted BUDDY Opn with 3/50 ARVN. 1/7 ARVN with 4/23 captured (4) VCS, (2) wpns and had (1) VC KIA (BC). Four airstrikes were flown in support of opn KALIHI w/(1) VC structure destroyed and (1) secondary fire. VR pers adj arty on (12) VC vic XT602227 at 1345 hrs. Results unk.

6	1005	Rec Cas Rept Battle WIA Co C 2/14 Kirby, Dale M. SP4 E4 181630 Oct 66. XT698209. Fragment wound right arm. Within defensive perimeter hit by enemy mortar fire.
15	1800	Rec Cas Rept Battle WIA HHC 2/14 Todd, Vernon PFC E3 161100 Oct 66. XT690165. Fragment wound stomach. S&D msn, hostile rifle grenade.
