8	0525	Patrol 2 entered friendly line.
10	0601	Patrol 1 closed friendly front lines.
13	1000	From 1st Bde S3: Insure that all communications are operative in all units, bunker lines, CP's Etc. The 4/9 Inf and 4/23 Inf will have their 50 Cal MG mounted on the towers. This evening all 106mm RR prepare to be deployed in the event of a mortar attack.
14	1448	From OP Ann Margaret: Elements of 4/23 have passed through OP Ann Margaret returning to Cu Chi.
15	1030	From S3 to C Co: Block off road between B Co and C Co on the end where the culvert is off, it has a hole in it.
24	1750	A land line communications check was made with all companies, bunker line, OP Ann Margaret Bridge. Also landline check was made with 196th Bde and 4/23 Inf.
29	2005	Listening Post leaving FFL
30	2015	From Listening Post to S3: By the use of the starlight LP sighted a white light which turns on and off approx 100 meters to the right front of OP Ann Margaret vic coord XT 666181 at 2015 hrs. OP Ann Margaret was notified by Capt Murphy and permission granted to engage it. OP Ann Margaret engaged it with M-79 grenade launcher fire, light disappeared. Results unknown.
32	2100	Patrol 1 leaving FFL at 2100 hrs.

13	0557	2/14 Patrol 1 closed BC
19	0809	A/4/23 Temporarily halted. Pulling track out of mud.
20	0850	0830 hrs A/4/23 loc 2 bunkers (appeared to be storage bunkers) 7ft by 15ft. Destroyed
21	0885	A/4/23 loc (1) tunnel, destroyed
24	0930	A/4/23 loc (1) small tunnel - empty, destroyed.
27	0950	4/9 reports group of 8-14 Vietnamese 669154. Presence unexplained, sending sqd t ocheck it out. All disappeared into rice paddies.
32	1025	A/4/23 found 1 60mm dud. Being destroyed.
38	1210	S2 4/23 enroute to Laterite Pit to investigate 2 VN dressed in US fatigues. Interrogated and released.
42	1355	A/4/23 loc & dest 1 booby-trapped 4.2 round, also 1 105mm dud coord 675178
43	1445	A/4/23 closed OP Ann Margaret. Closed B/C 1/5 Mech.
47	1555	Airlift of B/4/9 from Ben Luc to Cu Chi started at 1510 last lift off at 1540.
53	1715	B/4/9 convoy closed B/C
68	2015	2/14 listening post 2 departed B/C
74	2107	2/14 listening post 2 obs a light vic XT666181. Ann Margaret was notified, and picked it up on Starlite. Light went out again, results unk
85	2400	SUMMARY: 1st Bde continued operations on three fronts. 4/9 Inf continued Opn LANIKAI in establishment of base camp. 4/23 Inf continued Opn KALIHI with company size S&D Opn in FILHOL Plantation. 2/14 Inf continued preparation for opn KAMUELA. 1st Bde will continue development of base camp at Ben Luc (4/9 Inf), preparing for Opn KAMUELA (2/14 Inf), and continuing opn KALIHI with an Air Mobile Opn (4/23 Inf)
