		Initial log entries contain hourly sit/rep, no change.
8	0701	Cu Chi to S3: Lawyer Rear called and said to have a vehicle at the 196th Bde Helipad at 0730 to pick up the mail. Chopper tail is 635.
9	0900	Bn S3 conducted Staff meeting at 0900 for S1 Representative, S2, S4, S5, HHC Commander and Commo O.
10	1025	S3 to S3 196th: Asked for information on firing heard last night west of 2/14 sector. Reply - 4/31 Inf reported at 1900 hrs they had received 60 to 80 rounds of AW fire at coord XT 148501. No friendly casualties. 4/31 returned fire and heard what could have been moaning sounds from possible VC wounded. 4/31 Inf patrols are screening immediate area this morning with negative results. Inquiring about progress of 3/21 and 4/31 operations today, reply was that no enemy contact had been made, but 4/31 picked up one (1) VC suspect.
11	1146	From S3 196th to S3: At 1300 hrs a five (5) man MP patrol would be out along wire line of 2/14 Inf chasing civilians out of area.
14	1522	From 196th: Be advised that 25th Div CG is bound for Bde Area: Wil arrive in approx 03 minutes.
		Remainder of day was quiet, no action, no contact.
