3/4 Cav called that Engineer vehicles were having difficulty in going thru Cu Chi because of high vehicle getting entangled in wires.

4 1024 3/4 Cav reports congestion in Go Dau Hau, MU stopped will continue when possible 5 1027 3/4 Cav reports Engineer elements having difficulty with bridge (too narrow). Causing delay, will continue ASAP 6 1103 33 to 3/4 Cav appears your lead elements too far in front. Detain so MU2 can close gap. 7 1117 New gun team on station replacing firebird 8 1118 From 3: A Co platoon size mission cancelled. Whole company will go to Go Dau Hau airstrip 11 1120 Mustang (gun team) called ref. 33 location in convoy. Replied vic Go Dau Hau 12 1123 3/4 Cav reports Engineers having difficulty w/narrow bridge 13 1130 Charlie Co reports that the 9 vehicle from 3/13 Arty have been dropped as palnned at Go Dau Hau 14 1150 Charlie Co reports they have stopped to prevent closing on unit in front of them 15 1209 Gun team leaving station to refuel 16 1214 3/4 Cav reports Engineer vehicle having trouble with wire in Tay Ninh causing delay 17 1248 3/4 Cav reports Bde CO does not want him on left side of Airstrip. Not coming in. 64 2120 Patrol #1 reports 5 personnel approaching his position, they are going to identify target and take action. 65 2030 Delayed Entry: Sent patrols ambush location to Bde and CP locations 66 2225 B Co reports hearing movement in front of their perimeter sent out a team and found one claymore turned around notified all other elements 67 2258 B Co reports dogs in village very noisy

Hit booby trap at Go Dau Ha, WIA have been evacutated vic XT3825 Grid Sq. at approx 1130 hrs. 54 1445 Convoy tail closed Tay Ninh 55 1513 Lift complete for A/2/14 at 1503 hrs to Tay Ninh - Neg contact 66 1950 2 Sgts fr Hq Co 2/14 received powder burn on legs from claymore blasting cap - not serious and were treated at local Bn Aid Station (time of incident 1930) 75 2150 Rpt from 1st Bde Fwd - Patrol ldr of Pat #2 A/2/14 was slightly wounded by shrapnel from booby trap at ambush site not serious enough for evac Pat Ldr remaining with patrol, time 2115 - coord 179513 85 2400 SUMMARY: 1st Bde TF commenced Operation OAHU at 0900 with 2/14 Inf TF (-) convoy with quartering parties from HHC, 1st Bde, SupCom and 1st Log Comd, 7/11 Arty and BLUEJAY departing Cu Chi and closing TAY NINH Airstrip (west) at 1445 hours. At 0920 hrs, B/2/14 was helilifted to secure TAY NINH Airstrip (west) for the arrival of the main body. At 1055 hours, A/2/14 was helilifted to Go Dau Ha (XT4124) as a reaction force during movement, later helilifted to TAY NINH Airstrip (west) closing at 1514 hours. 4/23 INf (-) departed TSN by raod convoy at 0800 and closed Cu Chi at 0840 hours. 1st Bde TF continues Phase I of Operation OHAU with 2/14 Inf TF securing TAY NINH Airstrip (West) conducting local patrols and establish base. B (-) 3/4 Cav returns to Cu Chi commencing 020900 Aug 66 to escort 4/9 Inf and 7/11 Arty Convoy on 3 Aug 66.
