The children of Fort Davis rode regimental horses, both for entertainment and as an aid to give the horses their required exercise

John Gates with a soldier named "Mixer", who is remembered as having earned the Distinguished Service Cross in WWI while fighting in France

A daughter of the Regiment appeared in the 72 Organization Day Program over the caption "A daughter of a famous regiment holds it's Coat of Arms".
