This is an original 1923 Mother's Day Greeting and letterhead forms to be sent by all 14th Infantry personnel by order of the Secretary of War. The Directive reads:
"1. -- You are directed to bring to the attention of every officer and enlisted man in your command, the desire of the Secretary of War that each officer and enlisted man write a letter to his home on Mother's Day, the second Sunday in May, as an expression of love and reverence we owe the mothers of our country."
